FEBRUARY 21-28, 2016
FAMILY YOGA RETREAT WITH STEVE & TALYA

Zihuatanejo, Mexico

Due to low demand, we are combining the family retreat with the yoga-in-paradise retreat.  The one retreat will take place Feb 28-March 6.  If you want to come away with us and bring your kids, we would love to have you.  All the info for the other retreat is here.

A retreat just for our yogis with kids.  This week will have you thinking you've died and gone to heaven.  Limited to 6 families.

While you're doing awesome yoga in front of the waves (the most yoga you've done in a long time) and your body is feeling so great and so alive, your beloved is busy playing with the kids in the sand.  The sound of their giggles, as they delight with the other children will bring you such joy that you will literally fly up effortlessly into your handstand.

Now that yoga is over and you are totally blissed out, you head to the beach to join your family.  You and the other grown ups are having so much fun building sand castles, paddle boarding, walking along this magnificent stretch of beach, that you nearly forget that it's time for lunch.  Nearly.

The food here is simply unbelievable.  You can't wait for each meal.  You wonder what local delights Thomasa has prepared for the group this time.

As you get into bed at night, sunkissed and relaxed, satiated from the day, you are so glad to be here with this intimate group of cool people, thankful that your kids are enjoying themselves as much as you are.  And just before you drift off into the most peaceful sleep you've enjoyed in a long while, you wonder to yourself: "maybe my kid(s) will join me for yoga tomorrow, or maybe I'll let my beloved practice while I look after them."  It doesn't matter, you'll see how it all feels tomorrow.  It all just flows here.  It's all easy.

The property: We have rented out the entire property for this retreat.  Read on about this magnificent place: Playa Loma Bonita is a breathtaking new development just 40 minutes south of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The area is rich in natural beauty, offering unique experiences and fun activities. The property boasts magnificent views, a mile long stretch of gorgeous beach, privacy, numerous water sports and activities, and close proximity to the excellent local seafood restaurants of La Barrita.   Read more

Daily Schedule:
We usually have a pretty set daily schedule for our retreats.  But since kids are involved in this one, we've decided to keep everything relaxed and to see what works best for the group. Depending on who attends there may be only one daily yoga practice or if people want more than that, we will offer two.  The schedule may also vary from day to day.  We'll just have to see what happens once we're all together.  And your kids are always welcome to join the yoga practice(s).

Additional Available Activities:

Stand up Paddle boarding, big game fishing, surf lessons, massage, horseback riding.  Read more
