You guys do a lot of things that I'm not naturally good at."

SPRING INTO ACTION YOGA CHALLENGE

Turbodog Yoga

SIZZLE!  NOT FIZZLE!

The challenge is about having a yoga goal, one that stretches you just enough out of your comfort zone to help you make a big leap forward.  But the challenge isn’t just about having a goal, it’s about reaping all the benefits of successfully completing it.

Your body is going to feel great – so strong and open.  Your days will flow so much more easily thanks to the steadiness and emotional strength you get from a more frequent practice.  And your confidence will go through the roof!  Imagine how it will impact whatever you dare to accomplish next if you believe that you can do anything you set your mind and heart to.  One of the great beauties of this challenge, is that it helps us remember that we can actually accomplish that which our hearts desire.

When it comes to making big things happen, it’s much easier if we have cheerleaders and champions to keep us going. Think of marathon runners and all that motivation that they get from the crowds.  To help you successfully complete this challenge, we are putting in place jugglers, flame throwers, and lots and lots of hidden cameras – all to help motivate you to keep going until you reach the finish line.  We are committed to helping you succeed.  If you commit, you will be doing a victory dance at the end of the challenge along with us.

At stake:
- Being featured in our newsletter and on our website as a "Warrior of The Month" along with an opportunity to share your story and inspire others
- Influencing the direction of our next ceremony - Summer Solstice - by deciding what its central theme will be. We will help you, of course, by teaching you what the season is about so that you can then choose which of those pieces is most important to you. And if you want to, you can then collaborate with us to create the ceremony itself.
- A new sense of power that comes from a more serious commitment to your practice
- The admiration and adoration of both your friends and strangers when you put on your swimsuit this summer

The challenge:
- Commit to practicing an average of 4 times per week over the course of 3 months: Spring Equinox to Summer Solstice (i.e. March 21 to June 21).
- The first one to reach 52 classes is the winner
(some of you already practice that much and so this particular challenge wouldn't be a challenge at all. So your challenge would be to come an average of 6 times a week for a total of 78 classes in 3 months)

The twist:
- Every time you bring a new friend, that friend's attendance counts towards your attendance too.
- Each new friend can give you three extra attendances (i.e. the first three times they come, count towards your challenge, whether you are with them or not).
- Turbodog online classes count towards your attendance
- Out of towners: you can count your home practices provided that at least two practices a week are Turbodog Yoga online classes (which are currently half off). And every time you invite a friend to take an online class with you, you can count them too, for a total of three attendances per friend.

The nuts and bolts:
The challenge runs from March 21 through June 20, 2015.
There will be a public board hanging in the main hang-out area (you won't miss it). If you are joining the challenge, write your name in one of the boxes. Then every time you attend class (or bring a friend), mark your attendance with a hash tag.
Our of towners, you are keeping a private log.

The support:
Past challenge participants have repeatedly told us that the most important factor in their success was doing the challenge as part of a large group.  People who sign up tend to be those who have been wanting to get more serious about their yoga and to take their practice to the next level for some time, they just have had a hard time making that happen.  When they do it as part of a studio-wide program, and they feel the energy of a whole bunch of people "going for it" at the same time, they find that they are able to make it happen.  It's the whole "riding the tidal wave" effect and all.  So if you are trying to decide whether or not to sign up and do the challenge know that if you do, you are doing it not just for yourself, but that your participation is going to help others in our community do it too.

So, are you ready?  Here we go...
